Course explanation:
This is an intensive 2-day training course, which is designed to provide delegates with the "hands on" skills required for the installation, including field termination of fibre optic connectors, fibre optic cleaving and fibre optic splicing and the testing of installed fibre optic systems.
The course covers; fibre optic cable safety, fibre optic cable preparation, fibre optic cable splicing, fibre optic cable cleaving, fibre optic power/loss budget measurements and calculations and fibre optic testing using the OTDR as well as fibre optic cable splice tray management and site documentation. This course is ideal for those that would like to acquire some initial knowledge about the processes involved in the installation of fibre optic cabling systems. In addition, it will also benefit existing fibre optic installation engineers who are seeking some refresher training.
