Meet The Trainers

The training team here at Total Comms Training are highly skilled comms professionals in their own right. What is more, each one of them is a highly assured trainer and expert, combined with individual skills in designing course materials: is it any wonder that we enjoy an excellent reputation, both for their commitment and abilities.

Keith White

Keith has recently rejoined Total Comms Training, after spells with Anixeter and ADC Krone, Keith is an esteemed individual, with masses of experience gained in the access network of BT through to project management roles, with amongst others, T2, Dublin Airport, Microsoft, Apple, Telesys to name but a few! Keith is looking forward to seeing new and old delegates.

Keith intones what is a rare trait these days; professionalism and a genuine desire to train to the highest possible standard.

Keith is married and is an avid fan of rugby.

Mat Davies

Mat is currently involved with a long term fibre and Cat6a project, and is currently on release from his training duties with Total Comms Training - but don't worry, he will be delivering courses for us during the latter  part of 2014!

A self confessed technical anorak, Mat is the experts expert. Mat has delivered training all over the world for us and has been at the forefront of developing new courses and masterclass sessions.

Mat is an RCDD (one of the first in the UK region) as well as achieving the FIA certified trainer award.

Mat is married and has 3 children and enjoys DIY and gardening.

Chris Atkin

Chris is characterised as a “patient idealist” who expects a lot!   Seriously though, Chris has primary responsibilities for course content and delivery mechanisms, as well as having a key role in developing our trainers, as well as keeping on top of the ever changing standards.

Chris’s avid interest in both Physics and Telecommunications keeps him abreast of “all things comms cabling!” Chris actively assists in the development of all the main awards as well as being an active participant with both the TIA and FIA - also recently acheived the City and Guilds 6317 award.

Chris is married and enjoys travelling and amateur astronomy

Gareth Whitney

Gareth is that rare individual who espouses that unusual quality of "always being hungry" for more technical information. You'll find Gareth delivering training courses both here and at our co located training centres. Gareth is also responsible for trainer standardisation throughout the company, as well as developing our growing training team.

Gareth holds degrees in Mathematics and Physics.

Chris Mitchell

Chris is one of those true gentlemen, that is sadly quite rare these days;  always obliging, meticulous to a fault and supremely organised. Chris delivers to the highest possible standards, but confesses that he never stops learning.

Chris holds qualifications in Mathematics and Physics. Chris has also been involved in further developing the popular C & G awards.

Chris is married and has 2 children. He enjoys the finer things in like but always keeps himself physically fit through gruelling Kyokushinkai martial arts workouts.
